Sub!
‘Sub!’ is a collaboration between acclaimed playwright Hannah Soulsby-Phillips (Rummage Theatre’s ‘Cleansed’ ' . . . dramatic and chilling' ★★★★ Broadway Baby) and Paul Lawless, directed by Jacqueline Avery (The Makeshift Ensemble).
In an exploration of working-class male identity, riot-mentality and abandonment, ‘Sub!’ is a wrought, dynamic two-hander featuring physical theatre and a pulsating 80s soundtrack.
Hannah is an acclaimed playwright, who wrote three consecutive shows for Dorset-based company Rummage Theatre (‘Cleansed’, ‘Captive Minds’ and ‘Behind the Wallpaper’).
'Sub' is developed through a residency at Creative Workspace (Bristol) and is kindly supported by Activate Performing Arts (Dorset), Dorset Council, Crowdfunder, East Boro/The Waverley Community Hub (Weymouth), Weymouth Old Town Hall and The LGB&T Dorset Equality Network.
